It must be Trent Reznor night....but who feels more angst and aggression than T-Rez & myself? I'm feeling your dark moods tonight, Trent. And my friend RR said your music sounded like "nails on a blackboard".........He just didn't realize what he was getting into with this hellcat.

Ahhhhh.......memories......

As I have been shelled up in my office tonight - brooding, writing, sketching and generally snarling at the entire world - I had a moment of respite when I checked my old Photobucket album. I actually had a good snicker when I saw the below so-called romance novel covers. Over a year ago, Butterfly, Little_Eiffel, Scorpio, Katana & myself received a strong moderator warning on the Spiral for creating and posting these ridiculously inane things. I'm sure Trent himself would have had a good chuckle instead of being offended by such foolishness. Oh well, those were the days......and now, I present you with a few of those "fangirl" creations for a giggle....

Ghosts & Butterfly.....

Two of my most favorite talented people have been very busy lately - Trent Reznor and my cyberspace partner in crime, Madame Butterfly. I have neglected poor Corvidae because of certain distractions of late (studying...photography...MSgt. 9V), yet Butterfly has been working hard to gather information and keep us all updated on the Nine Inch Nails scene. From what I understand, Nine Inch Nails will finally perform in the U.S. again - a Chicago show in August. I sense a trip to the Windy City in the works....Butterfly? Are you ready to start planning for the big show?

T H E G R E A T B E L O W........

Have I ever mentioned that having bi-polar disorder isn't easy? Sometimes it's BEYOND not easy.....sometimes it is absolutely horrifying. Recently I have gone from the ecstatic high of our beloved Georgia Bulldogs crushing Hawaii in the Sugar Bowl and being surrounded by wonderful friends and family to the lowest of lows....rather quickly.

I remember two years ago on a family vacation to Destin I hit rock bottom in the mood department because I forgot to pack all my medications. I actually sat on the beach alone for four hours contemplating what it would feel like to walk into the ocean...and keep walking...into the great below. Oh yes, The Great Below was my theme song that entire summer. A summer packed with all kinds of mental goodness......

The time for The Great Below has returned with one hell of a darkness that has me in its grip. I feel introverted and so frustrated. The only good thing that will come out of this misery is some damn good writing and artwork. See? I am optimistic after all! /sarcasm/

...and Saturday nights are also sacred.......

My day is over and now I'm waiting for the night to fall (to quote Depeche Mode).... Saturday nights alone can be such a source of contemplation and creative energy for me, especially when I can light so many candles the house is in danger of burning down and I can crank Nine Inch Nails to a gazillion decibels. Super D - no offense, but these evenings are rare and wonderful for my mental health. I have two adoring pit bulls who love and protect me. I have two of the most loving kitties in the universe to keep me company and watch me type and sketch - especially that little demonic weasel..... And I have the master of all things dark and musical pouring from surround sound. Trent Reznor is most definitely one of my muses...."I am your saviour...I am corruption...I am the angel of your destruction...I am perversion...secret desire...I am your future swallowed up in fiiiiiiire!..." Charming, huh? I can go from T-Rez to Paul Potts in 30 seconds flat.....I'll have Nessun Dorma waking the Screeching NeckBeast before long so she can actually be the one calling the cops this time...hahaha

Ahhhh, life is good. My A.D.D. and mania have flared into code red stage and I'm being the naughty little artist I was born to be. Oh, and Super D....If I accidentally burn the house down, just know in your heart that the furry kids are safe, okay?

Nine Inch Nails Tribute

Typically I'm not impressed with "tribute" videos unless they are very well done. This Nine Inch Nail fan did a great job with this tribute vid, capturing Trent Reznor's raw performance and passion for his art to the tune of "Right Where It Belongs". Excellent job!

The Day the Whole World Went Away...

This is from NIN's Sydney performance yesterday. I love the fact that Trent wants his fans to enjoy his music without being ripped off by the record labels. He's absolutely right...paying anywhere between $18 - $26 for a CD is ridiculous. Of course, I think NIN is totally worth it, but there are kids and young people all over the world who cannot afford these prices. Thanks for taking care of your fans, Trent!

From last night's performance. Poor guys...Really, I mean poor fans! If you have never had the priviledge of witnessing a full-bore NIN show complete with perfect sound quality and light show, you have never seen a hard-core music performance. Looks like Aaron was a bit frustrated, also.

Your music and performances continue to expand into the intellectual realms of a true artist's territory...growing with experimental depth with every note and lyric you create. You are the poet laureate for those who cannot express their deepest, darkest selves, dear Trent, and I hope you realize that you have written the soundtrack of my life and soul...
