Because I'm a Living Undead Girl....

I haven't been around here for a bit....I'm slagging off on the blogging for various reasons...predominately CORPORATE SERVITUDE and personal life issues. Don't worry, though, I do spend quality time recovering emotionally in cheerful places like graveyards. I took the above photos recently........enjoy yourself! (Makes you want to visit, doesn't it?)

More Photos...

"Distance"

"Still..."

Burzliwa has inspired me to keep working on my photos all day. I do not think I can be separated from my camera any longer...I'll probably sleep with it under my pillow tonight...

Burzliwa's Work

The above photo is titled "Gdansk" - a beautiful photo by my new friend from Poland, Burzliwa. Please check out her gallery HERE. She is extremely gifted and has a unique way of capturing life in Europe with the lens.

On the Verge...

As an artist, and a manic depressive one at that, I frequently ride the stages of creative moods much the same as my emotional highs and lows. When the artistic doldrums grip me, my periods of unproductivity affect every aspect of my life. I'm sure my friends and family would rather sit through eight root canals than spend two hours with me when I'm in this state. Then there's the manic side.......

Ah, the manic side of bi-polar.... Truly a dangerous and often thrilling part of my psyche. Manic episodes make me bold, exciting and even more sarcastic and caustic than normal. I'm probably a bit annoying, too, because mania brings on extreme levels of energy, arrogance and rapid thoughts. However, mania unleashes another part of me that is vital to my well-being - vital to the essence of my soul. No, it's not nymphomania or scrapbooking... Mania unwakens the artiste that I am. I want to create more passionately than I want to breathe, whether it be painting, photography, sketching or the mighty mighty pen (or keyboard in my case). At the onset of mania, I feel that I am on the verge of something big - something that proclaims who I am in this world. For those of you who are not artists, creation is a way of giving the world a piece of your heart and soul. I am definitely on the verge......

Bagheera AKA Akira on DeviantArt!

It's not much so far, but I have started my own gallery at DeviantArt. Hopefully this week I'll get a new camera and I'll be able to post some more photography and images of my other artwork on DA. In the meantime, please browse my favorites at DA to see the work of some other exceptional artists whose work I love.

PSA...sort of

I wasn't kidding when I commented that you will find anything here. Thank God for all my unique, diverse and sometimes smelly friends. (You know who you are - don't deny it!) I just want to take this opportunity to give a few friends some attention. First of all, please visit Filmmaker's blog at 24FPS. He is an extraordinarily gifted photographer & filmmaker. His work is dark and surreal, kind of like your humble narrator. You can find his body of work here.

Cricket is another one of my super-talented friends (she can belt out a torch-song like no one can!) who is embarking on a creative journey soon. I won't reveal too much too soon until she is ready, but she is headed for success and I wish her the best of luck! She has a brand new edgy and informative blog, TwoCabGab. Please check it out and chat with her.

The last site is a bit different for me because it involves something I do not participate in - fishing. Strange for me to advertise it here, huh? Not really, especially after my friend who created this site with his wife has put so much effort and time into it. This fisherman wanted me to put the word out to all the "rednecks" out there who like to fish in this area. However, after learning more about tournament fishing, it is quite a compelling sport and almost all tourneys are held to benefit local charities. If you want to see a very professional site and would like to meet some other fishermen (or women...should it be fisherpeople???), please go here.

I will add more sites later...

XXXOOO,

Bagheera
